This is an Early Steiff lamb that had several areas of wear. This had been a ride on child's toy and probably passed down from child to child over the years. The fabric was worn and had areas of deterioration on the back. Incredibly enough his button still remained. Since this was wool, the replaced areas were a bit more challenging to simulate. The felt nose area needed some work as well as several small areas around the body and a very dirty tail.
